About Us

We are the proud owners of Otter Creek Carriages, Reid and Kim Nettleingham.  We live east of Streator, Illinois and have been horse enthusiasts for over thirty years ranging from roping in rodeos, trail riding and a new miniature horse for our grandson. Otter Creek Carriages was created as a fun way to add to the charm of our community, inspired by local businesses recreating themselves based on Streator’s rich history.  We are a family owned business where members across three generations help out!

Tulip & Sadie

Meet our team. Tulip and Sadie joined our family in the spring and fall of 2016.  They are Belgian mares, both from Wisconsin, who were once part of a dynamic team of show horses.  Tulip is 17.2 hands tall, weighs 1900 pounds and loves to be showered, brushed and told how beautiful she is.  Sadie is 18 hands tall, weighs in at 2000 pounds and loves attention.  The more hugs and kisses, the happier she is!  They both have calm natures and enjoy being around people.  They both also love to eat!  A LOT!  Hey, a couple thousand pounds is hard to maintain, right?
